Police support finding lost brother for 21 years
Quang Tri - After 21 years of losing contact, a family in Le Thuy commune has found their loved one thanks to the support of the police force.
On October 25, Le Thuy Commune Police (Quang Tri province) said that they had just supported a family in the area to find a lost relative for 21 years, who is currently being cared for at a social protection center in Ho Chi Minh City.
Previously, Le Thuy Commune Police received a thank-you letter from Ms. Tran Thi Bay (residing in Thuong Giang village, Le Thuy commune) after the police force supported the family to find their biological older brother who had lost contact for many years.
According to the content of the letter, Ms. Bay's older brother, Mr. Tran Cong Anh (born 1957), left his family and lost contact when he was about 48 years old.
For 21 years, the family has searched for Mr. Anh in many places but without results. The fact that they do not know where their loved ones are, what their lives are like, makes the family always look forward to getting information about him.
Later, when receiving information that Mr. Anh may be living in Ho Chi Minh City, Mrs. Bay's family contacted Le Thuy Commune Police, requesting support for verification and search.
Upon receiving the information, the commune police force proceeded to verify, and at the same time contacted and exchanged information with relevant agencies and organizations to find information about Mr. Anh.
Through verification, Le Thuy Commune Police determined that Mr. Tran Cong Anh was being cared for and nurtured at a social protection center in Ho Chi Minh City.
After determining Mr. Anh's whereabouts, the police force continued to connect and support the family to contact the social protection center to meet relatives again.
Thanks to this support, Mrs. Bay's family reunited with Mr. Anh and welcomed him back to his hometown after 21 years of separation.
In a letter sent to Le Thuy Commune Police, Ms. Bay expressed her joy when her family found their loved one after many years of searching. She also thanked the commune police officers and soldiers for supporting verification, connecting information, and helping the family reunite.
According to Le Thuy Commune Police, Ms. Bay's family's thank you letter is a source of encouragement for officers and soldiers in the process of performing their duties, continuing to improve their sense of responsibility, and supporting people to solve difficulties in life.
