National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man chairs the welcoming ceremony for Lao National Assembly Chairman Sonexay Siphandone
On the morning of November 3, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man chaired the ceremony to welcome Lao National Assembly Chairman Sonexay Siphandone on an official visit to Vietnam.
On the morning of November 3, 2016, at the National Assembly House, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife chaired the ceremony to welcome National Assembly Chairman of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Sonexay Siphandone and his wife on an official visit to Vietnam from November 2 - 5, 2016.
Attending the Welcoming Ceremony, on the Vietnamese side were Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Doan Anh, leaders of agencies of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos and leaders of People's Councils of some provinces and cities.
On the Lao side, there were Lao National Assembly Vice Chairman Kongkeo Xaysongkham; leaders of agencies of the Lao National Assembly; Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Khamphao Ernthavanh; leaders of People's Councils of some localities of Laos and members of the high-level delegation of the Lao National Assembly.
After the introduction ceremony for delegates from the two countries, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife, along with Lao National Assembly Chairman Sonexay Siphandone and his wife, took souvenir photos in front of the national flags of the two countries in the National Assembly Hall.
Next, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife, along with Lao National Assembly Chairman Sonexay Siphandone and his wife, visited a photo exhibition introducing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
At the end of the welcoming ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife, along with Lao National Assembly Chairman Sonexay Siphandone and his wife, held a closed-door meeting. After that, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Lao National Assembly Chairman Sonexay Siphandone held official talks at the National Assembly House.
Previously, on the same morning, the Chairman of the Lao National Assembly and his wife came to lay wreaths at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son Street and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.
