Ministry of National Defense completes Project to adjust the planning of the National Sports Complex

Previously, on October 22, 2026, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra signed Decision No. 2029/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on the transfer of the National Sports Complex.

The decision clearly states the transfer of the National Sports Complex under the Vietnam Sports Administration, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the request of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; in which, transferring management authority and transferring the original state of the National Sports Complex to the Ministry of National Defense for management and a part of the land area located in the National Sports Complex planning to the Hanoi City People's Committee for management according to Resolution No. 264/NQ-CP dated September 7, 2026 of the Government and legal regulations.

The management and organization of physical education, sports, land, assets, finance, and personnel activities at the National Sports Complex shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the law on physical education, sports, land, investment, finance, public assets and other relevant laws; ensuring efficiency, not allowing loss, waste, or negativity to occur.

According to Resolution No. 264/NQ-CP dated September 7, 2026 of the Government, the Ministry of National Defense manages 15 items, including: My Dinh stadium (central stadium), 2 football training grounds, working headquarters of the complex, internal traffic infrastructure; water sports complex; cycling area; sports service hotel area, office for lease; national golf training academy; indoor sports area (received from Hanoi People's Committee); My Dinh 1 parking lot, My Dinh 2 parking lot...
