Nghia Lo Trade Union connects love, shares difficulties

Since operating the two-level local government model, Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union has gradually innovated its operating methods, focusing on grassroots levels, taking union members and workers as the center.

Currently, the unit manages 68 grassroots trade unions with 2,735 union members. In the first year of operation, the Ward Trade Union established 10 new grassroots trade unions, developing an additional 298 union members.

On the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the Ward Trade Union coordinated to organize 9 programs "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party", taking care of 3,231 turns of union members and workers with a total budget of 1.078 billion VND.

The grassroots trade union presented 2,760 gifts worth 552 million VND; organized 6 "Trade Union Year-end Meals" programs for 349 union members.

In addition, supporting the construction of 6 "Trade Union Shelter" houses with a total budget of 250 million VND.

When natural disasters occur, the Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union becomes a bridge to bring help to people in affected areas.

During the rain and floods, in the face of heavy damage in many localities, the program "Kitchens without fields join hands towards flood-affected areas" was implemented with the participation of officials, trade union members, organizations, individuals and philanthropists.

From mobilizing raw materials, preparing food to cooking, packaging and transporting relief goods, everyone does their own thing, everyone aims to bring timely meals to people facing difficulties.

As a result, the program mobilized resources to organize 5,250 free meals, along with food, foodstuffs and necessities with a total value of over 585 million VND.

After the natural disaster, the Ward Trade Union mobilized support of 10 tons of fertilizer and 500kg of rice for affected people.

At the same time, 200 gifts worth 60 million VND were presented to union member families and people in Thuong Bang La commune to soon stabilize their lives.

In particular, when a female sanitation worker encountered an accident while rescuing two children, the Ward Trade Union mobilized and mobilized 45 million VND in support.

During the days of treatment, my family and I encountered many difficulties. When I received the encouragement, visits and support from the trade union organization, I was really touched.

Not only focusing on immediate relief, the Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union also connected philanthropists to build 8 clean water wells, with a total value of 240 million VND, serving the living needs in residential areas, units and schools that are still facing water source difficulties.

Since the beginning of the year, the Ward Trade Union has continued to mobilize support to build 3 more civil drilling wells, worth 90 million VND.

Along with that, coordinate to give 100 gifts worth 70 million VND to poor households in the area; support 7 sets of gas stoves worth 14 million VND.
