Can Tho - Piloting the commune-level digital transformation model in 7 communes and wards to assess the suitability, feasibility and effectiveness of the model.

According to the Plan, from January 1, 2027 to December 31, 2027, the People's Committee (PC) of Can Tho City (TP) will pilot the Commune-level Digital Transformation Model in 7 communes and wards in the city.

Those are localities: Tan An ward, Phu Loi ward, Thot Not ward, Cai Rang ward, Vi Thuy commune, Long Phu commune and Thanh Xuan commune.

The pilot implementation of the commune-level digital transformation model aims to assess the suitability, feasibility and effectiveness of the model, as a basis for completing and replicating it throughout Can Tho City.

This model focuses on bringing digital platforms, information systems, databases and shared digital services of the Central Government and the City into practical exploitation at the commune level; prioritizing solving practical needs in management, administration, and provision of public services, serving people and businesses.

Through the implementation process, the city will assess difficulties and obstacles related to data, infrastructure, human resources, processes and coordination mechanisms to promptly adjust and improve the model.

Can Tho City People's Committee assigned the Department of Science and Technology to be the focal agency, presiding over guidance, coordination, monitoring and inspection of implementation progress; coordinate with departments, agencies, branches and localities to unify tasks, progress, output products, and at the same time support training, operation guidance and exploitation of the components of the model.

The implementation must ensure connection and effective exploitation of shared platforms, avoiding duplicate and scattered investment.

After the pilot period, the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho City will summarize and evaluate the results, organize summaries, draw lessons learned, develop evaluation criteria and advise the City People's Committee on plans to improve and expand the model.

The pilot implementation of this model is expected to contribute to promoting digital transformation from the grassroots level, improving the efficiency of state management, the quality of service to people and businesses, and creating a foundation for building digital government in Can Tho City.
