Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation Do Tran Thinh emphasized: October 20th is not only an occasion to give flowers, gifts, and send congratulations, but also an opportunity to fully recognize the role of women, listen to their thoughts, share difficulties and create conditions for women to develop, contribute, and be recognized as worthy.
In the Trade Union system of An Giang province, female officials, union members and employees are an important force, present in many industries, agencies, units and businesses. Women are both directly involved in production, performing professional tasks, and participating in Trade Union activities, taking care of their families and raising children.
Mr. Do Tran Thinh hopes that each female Trade Union official, each member of the Mass Women's Committee will always maintain closeness with union members, especially female workers at enterprises. He hopes that the women will continue to maintain their sense of responsibility, share experiences, spread good practices; and at the same time see today's recognition as motivation to continue striving, not a stopping point of the journey of dedication.

Today's meeting also has a very practical content, which is a thematic talk on women's work in the digital age. I hope that, through today's thematic talk, each woman will have more knowledge, ideas and experiences that can be immediately applied to her work. What we aim for in the end is still to improve the quality of Trade Union activities, so that female union members have more access to information, are better cared for and have more opportunities to develop in an increasingly innovative working environment," Mr. Thinh emphasized.

After the meeting, delegates attended the thematic conference "Women's Affairs in the Digital Age: Opportunities, Challenges and New Approaches" presented by Dr. Phan Thuan, Editor-in-Chief of the Faculty of Socio-Economy and Environment, Region IV Political Academy.
