Vinh Long - Female grassroots trade union officials have many practical ways to care for life, improve meal times, and support housing for union members in difficult circumstances.

Devoted to the worker's home and meals

In trade union activities, many female officials are always dedicated and responsible, taking the rights and lives of workers as motivation for striving. On Vietnamese Women's Day October 20th, the practical actions of these women contribute to spreading the image of close and enthusiastic female trade union officials.

Typically, Ms. Tran Loan Thao, Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of Viet Hong Export Garment Co., Ltd. From 2015 to now, she has mobilized and proposed to build 15 new "Trade Union Shelter" houses, helping many families of workers in difficult circumstances to stabilize their accommodation.

Receiving a new house in 2025, worker Nguyen Thi Cam Van emotionally shared: "Having a solid house, my family relieved our worries every rainy and storm season. The sincere concern of the trade union organization has helped me have more motivation to rise up in life.

From 13,000 - 15,000 VND/meal before 2024, the value of meals has increased to 20,000 - 22,000 VND/meal, contributing to improving nutrition and ensuring food safety.

Garment line worker Le Thi My Xuyen said: "Meeting between shifts is now richer and more quality than before. Delicious meals help us restore health, work more effectively and clearly feel the thoughtful care from the trade union.

Accompanying and sharing with workers

At Ty Bach Co., Ltd., with about 10,000 union members, Ms. Lam Thi Ngoc Ha, Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union, has implemented "0-dong booths" and "Offered sales" models. These activities contribute to reducing the burden of spending and supporting workers in difficult circumstances to improve their lives.

Ms. Ha confided: "I personally work not for the purpose of personal commendation, but for the responsibility of caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers, helping them have an increasingly stable life.

Production worker Tran Thi Hoa expressed: "The preferential sales program and the 0-dong booth are very practical for poor workers. Thanks to the timely support of the trade union, my family has reduced spending pressure and is assured to stick with the business for a long time.
