Professional training for the Safety and Hygiene Network in the People's Police
On the morning of October 31, the People's Police Trade Union organized a training conference on occupational safety and health for the Safety and Health Workers Network.
Attending the program were Major General Ngo Hoai Thu, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Work (X03); Colonel Cong Thanh Thao, Head of the Trade Union of the People's Police (CAND); nearly 200 members of the Network of Safety and Hygiene Workers at grassroots trade unions in the People's Police in the Northern region.
On the first training day, trainees were informed by speakers about the content of 4 topics: Skills, operating methods of the safety and hygiene network (ATVSV); skills in identifying, managing and controlling risks at the workplace; skills in inspecting and supervising the implementation of occupational safety and health (ATVSLĐ); preparing petitions and monitoring to overcome unsafe risks at the workplace; basic contents on occupational safety and health according to the specifics of each type of unit: enterprise, hospital, medical facility, non-business unit, logistics, service in the People's Police.
Speaking at the training conference, Colonel Cong Thanh Thao emphasized that occupational safety and health is one of the important tasks of the trade union organization, directly associated with the responsibility of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers. In which, the safety and hygiene network plays a core role at the grassroots level in propaganda, supervision, detection, and recommendations to overcome risks of occupational unsafety, contributing to preventing labor accidents and occupational diseases.
The professional training class on occupational safety and health for the 2026 Safety and Health Network focuses on equipping and updating knowledge and skills to identify, assess and control risks; skills to monitor and recommend remediation of unsafe factors at the workplace. In particular, the program combines theory with practical skills to handle situations, first aid, and first aid when labor accidents occur, in order to improve the ability to apply knowledge to practice at the grassroots level.
To ensure that the training class achieves the set goals, Colonel Cong Thanh Thao requested the trainees to uphold their sense of responsibility, study seriously, actively exchange experiences, and practice skills proficiently; after training, proactively advise and apply knowledge to the operation of the safety and hygiene network at units and businesses, contributing to building a safe and civilized working environment and forming a culture of occupational safety in the People's Public Security Forces.
Also at the conference, Major General Ngo Hoai Thu emphasized that this is an opportunity for members of the Safety and Hygiene Network at grassroots trade unions to improve their knowledge, skills and operating methods of the ATVSV network; improve the capacity to identify, manage, control risks and quickly handle unsafe situations at the workplace...
Major General Ngo Hoai Thu requested the People's Public Security Trade Union Board in the coming time to continue to research and develop training and fostering programs to meet the requirements and tasks of the People's Public Security Trade Union organization in the new period.
Through the training class, Major General Ngo Hoai Thu expressed hope that the trainees will gain many useful knowledge, skills and effective working methods, labor, contributing to improving the effectiveness of occupational safety and health, preventing labor accidents, occupational diseases and building a culture of occupational safety in units and enterprises in the People's Public Security Forces. Thereby, building the unit's Trade Union organization to become increasingly strong, contributing to building a strong People's Public Security Trade Union organization in the Vietnam Trade Union system.
