Nghe An trains professional skills for grassroots trade union presidents

On September 26, the Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) of Nghe An province organized a conference to train trade union professional skills in 2026 for the team of grassroots trade union chairmen directly under it.

Attending the conference were Mr. Le Dinh Ly - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; Ms. Tran Thi Thu Huong - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, along with representatives of agencies, units and grassroots trade union chairmen.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Kha Van Tam emphasized the important role of the grassroots trade union chairmen in implementing the Party's guidelines, policies, laws of the State and performing the tasks of the trade union organization.

The Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation requested trainees to promote the spirit of responsibility, actively study, exchange experiences, and proactively apply the knowledge equipped in practice, contributing to improving the quality of trade union activities at the grassroots level.

At the conference, delegates were trained on two key topics. In which, Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation - conveyed a topic on caring for, supporting, and protecting union members and workers.

The topic on trade union financial work was directly discussed and guided by Ms. Nguyen Hoang Phuong Thanh - Chief Accountant of the Vietnam Bank Union - to help grassroots trade union officials improve their knowledge and financial management skills.

In addition to the training content, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation spends time listening to, exchanging and answering opinions and recommendations of grassroots trade union officials, thereby removing difficulties and obstacles in the process of performing tasks.

Through the conference, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation aims to improve the capacity of grassroots trade union officials, innovate operating methods, promote the role of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers in the new situation.
