People's Police Trade Union organizes training conference for key trade union officials
The People's Police Trade Union has just organized a training conference for key trade union officials in the People's Police Trade Union in 2026.
Attending the conference were Colonel Cong Thanh Thao, Head of the Trade Union of the People's Police (CAND); more than 150 trainees who are key trade union officials of unit and local police throughout the country.
During the 2 training days, the trainees were informed by speakers about the contents of 8 topics: Innovating the implementation of the task of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; promoting the implementation of trade union culture, worker culture, and safety culture at the workplace; new points of the Charter and Guidance on the implementation of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Charter; some issues on improving the quality of trade union activities in the new situation; the role of trade union organizations in ensuring labor safety and hygiene, building a network of safety and hygiene staff; improving negotiation skills and building collective labor agreements for trade union officials; the establishment of workers' organizations at enterprises according to the 2019 Labor Code and issues raised for our country and the role of trade union organizations; ensuring security and safety for workers and laborers in cyberspace; reporting and exchanging experiences of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation.
Speaking at the training conference, Colonel Cong Thanh Thao emphasized: Training and fostering trade union officials is an important content in improving the quality of trade union officials at all levels. Through the training class, it aims to update and supplement knowledge, improve professional qualifications, skills and methods of operation for key trade union officials, contributing to continuing to innovate the content, methods and improve the quality of trade union activities at all levels, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
To ensure that the training class achieves the set goals, Colonel Cong Thanh Thao made a specific request.
For reporters: It is necessary to focus on core, new, difficult and practical issues, strengthen two-way exchanges, and take practical situations as a basis for analysis, guidance, and help students deeply understand the issue.
For trainees: It is necessary to promote the spirit of responsibility, proactively research materials, actively exchange and discuss, and boldly raise difficulties and obstacles in practical activities at their units and localities. At the same time, actively exchange and share good practices, initiatives and practical experiences at their units to contribute to improving the effectiveness of the training conference.
