Notably, the recruitment structure in September 2026 shows clear differentiation with a superior advantage belonging to the high-skilled labor group.
Mr. Vu Quang Thanh - Deputy Director of Hanoi Employment Service Center said that based on the Center's analysis, it shows that businesses are strongly recruiting a group of highly qualified workers (college and university degrees or higher) with 58.5% of the total recruitment demand. In which university degrees or higher account for 38.4% (university 37.5%, master's degree 0.9%) and college degrees account for 20.1%.
This affirms that the top priority of businesses is to focus on attracting well-trained personnel to undertake core professional, technical and management positions, serving the goal of accelerating business in the late year. In particular, businesses really need candidates with skills associated with professional expertise," Mr. Thanh said.
Equivalent to the demand for recruiting quality personnel, the salary offered by businesses in Hanoi in September 2026 is commonly ranging from 10-20 million VND/month.
Even the technical - construction block still maintains its breakthrough and is isolated with the offered income for highly skilled engineers, workers and professional mechanics ranging commonly from 16 to 35 million VND/month depending on the nature of the work and project scale," Mr. Vu Quang Thanh said.
According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, the 35-54 age group accounted for 45.9% of job seekers in September 2026, showing a trend of job transfers by middle-aged workers to find a stable environment or management position.
Candidates need to proactively supplement skills to increase career opportunities
From the reality of surveying the labor market and the actual recruitment needs of businesses in the Capital, representatives of the Hanoi Employment Service Center recommend that workers should proactively supplement skills related to expertise to increase career opportunities.
In which, the most important priority is to prioritize skill development. In the context that employers are increasingly focusing on practical competence instead of just relying on degrees, candidates must prove their ability to apply knowledge to solve specific tasks.
Candidates with the ability to combine many skill groups will be a superior professional advantage in the eyes of employers. Accordingly, employees not only need to be good at their field but also must know how to coordinate, communicate, process information and apply technology to improve work efficiency.
Finally, candidates with skills will create an income advantage. From the practice of connecting labor supply and demand, the Hanoi Employment Service Center affirms that candidates with foreign languages and AI application skills will create a significant difference in income compared to the remaining group.
To ensure that skills promote value with real income, workers need to pay attention when investing in skills that must be oriented, associated with industry requirements and the actual needs of businesses. In addition, they should proactively update technology, practice foreign languages, develop soft skills and build adaptive capacity to expand job opportunities. Career preparation should start early by understanding recruitment needs, participating in internships, accumulating experience, completing application dossiers and proactively updating missing skills," Mr. Vu Quang Thanh recommended.
