Evading social insurance contributions of more than 568 million VND, 2 businesses are sued
On October 30, Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance said that the Tan Uyen grassroots social insurance agency had provided sufficient documents and the People's Procuracy of Region 17 of Ho Chi Minh City had sued 2 enterprises for evading social insurance contributions.
Accordingly, after implementing the steps of sending official letters urging debt; making a working record and issuing a decision requesting the unit to remedy the act of late payment and evasion of payment as proposed by Tan Uyen Grassroots Social Insurance, the People's Procuracy of Region 17 of Ho Chi Minh City issued a recommendation, requesting the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and the competent Social Insurance agency to consider exercising the right to sue against 12 enterprises under the management of Tan Uyen Grassroots Social Insurance.
After that, the Social Insurance agency and the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation had a document requesting the People's Procuracy of Region 17 of Ho Chi Minh City to directly sue. On October 23, the People's Procuracy of Region 17 officially signed 2 decisions to sue 2 businesses.
QT PC Food Joint Stock Company (the amount of social insurance evasion is over 287 million VND, the evasion period is 18 months); DT Trading and Production Co., Ltd. (the amount of social insurance evasion is over 281 million VND, the evasion period is 15 months). Currently, the People's Court of Region 17 of Ho Chi Minh City has received the decision to sue along with the evasion dossiers of these 2 enterprises and is expected to summon the parties to open a court session to try according to regulations in mid-November 2026.
According to the leader of Tan Uyen grassroots social insurance, for the remaining 10 dossiers according to the list that has been consulted with the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and relevant agencies, if businesses do not remedy the acts of late payment and evasion of payment, the social insurance agency will continue to collect complete dossiers for the People's Procuracy of Region 17 to continue to issue decisions to initiate lawsuits and transfer dossiers to the Court for trial as soon as possible.
Handling 827 businesses that are late in payment or evade payment
According to Tan Uyen Grassroots Social Insurance, from July 2026 to now, the unit has coordinated with the People's Procuracy of Region 17 of Ho Chi Minh City to implement the recovery of social insurance and health insurance debts, and transfer the list of 827 businesses that are late or evading payment for handling.
After being urged, worked and requested to remedy violations, 655 businesses have paid the entire or part of the outstanding amount, with a total amount of nearly 45 billion VND, contributing to reducing social insurance and health insurance debts and ensuring the rights of employees.
