100 businesses in Hai Phong finalize salary and Tet bonus increase plans for 2027
Hai Phong - By the end of October 2026, 100 businesses in industrial parks in Hai Phong have developed plans to increase salaries in 2027 for workers.
Information from the Industrial Park Trade Union Board (Hai Phong City Labor Federation), currently, the lowest actual salary paid on average at enterprises in industrial parks is about 6.042 million VND/person/month; the average salary increase in 2026 is about 535,000 VND/person/month; bonus for the 13th month's salary is on average about 1.09 months' salary.
Some common support items include attendance allowance of about 467,000 VND/person/month, travel expenses of about 466,000 VND, rent of about 383,000 VND and raising young children of about 70,000 VND/person/month. The average value of meals is about 30,000 VND/person/meal, an increase of about 3,000 VND/portion compared to 2025.
The policy level between regions still has disparities. The Eastern region has the lowest average salary of about 6.346 million VND/month, higher than the Western region, currently about 5.737 million VND/month; the value of meals in shifts is about 33,000 VND and 27,000 VND/portion respectively. Conversely, the average salary increase in 2026 in the Western region is about 553,000 VND/person/month, higher than the level of 518,000 VND/person/month in the Eastern region.
Along with salaries and benefits, working conditions continue to be concerned. 307 businesses arrange for employees to take Saturday leave with different levels and 196 businesses organize mid-shift exercises. In the third quarter of 2026, many grassroots trade unions participated in proposing to adjust working hours, increase mid-shift leave time, arrange earlier dismissal, improve toilets, supplement air conditioning, electrolyte replenishment water and support equipment at the workplace.
Also according to the Trade Union Committee of Hai Phong Industrial Park, regarding the 2027 salary plan, so far 100 enterprises have developed salary increase plans, with an average increase of about 6.4%, equivalent to about 448,000 VND/person/month. Regarding Lunar New Year bonuses, 232 enterprises have planned, with an average level of about 1.11 months' salary, equivalent to about 7.7 million VND/person.
