Nghe An coordinates to handle businesses that are late in paying and evading insurance
Nghe An - The Provincial Labor Federation coordinates with functional agencies to implement solutions to handle businesses that are late in paying and evading insurance, protecting the rights of workers.
On November 2nd, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation said that the unit is coordinating with the provincial Social Insurance and functional agencies to implement solutions to handle the situation of businesses delaying and evading social insurance (BHXH), health insurance (BHYT) and unemployment insurance (BHTN), ensuring the rights of workers.
According to data as of September 2026, the whole province has 557,936 people participating in social insurance, accounting for 30% of the working age population. The total revenue of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance reached more than 10,867 billion VND. However, the amount of late payment of various types of insurance is still more than 380 billion VND, accounting for 2.79% of the revenue plan.
The situation of businesses delaying and evading insurance contributions directly affects the rights of employees, especially when resolving sickness, maternity, occupational accidents, occupational diseases and unemployment benefits. At the same time, the time not recorded for social insurance contributions may affect the process of accumulating time to participate in enjoying pensions.
Faced with this situation, Nghe An Provincial Social Insurance has implemented many measures to urge collection, reduce late payment amounts and coordinate with functional agencies to handle violating units.
In the first 9 months of 2026, the Provincial Social Insurance has sent 17,291 turns of documents urging and planning work with 4,970 units that are late in payment or evading payment. Thereby, recovering nearly 79.6 billion VND of late payment insurance money.
Notably, the social insurance agency established 20 remote inspection teams for 101 units showing signs of late payment or evasion. To date, 89 units have completed inspections. Through inspection, the social insurance agency issued documents to rectify and request units to remedy the amount of more than 4.1 billion VND.
In addition, the Provincial Social Insurance coordinated with the Investigation Agency of Nghe An Provincial Police to invite 241 units with acts of late payment and evasion of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance to work, thereby urging the recovery of more than 7.1 billion VND.
In the coming time, agencies will continue to coordinate to review and publicize the list of businesses that are late or evading payment; strengthen propaganda, dialogue and policy advice at enterprises. For units that intentionally do not remedy violations, functional agencies will coordinate to provide dossiers and documents for handling according to legal regulations.
