Central Committee discusses the Outline of the Report summarizing 100 years of the Party leading the Vietnamese revolution

On the afternoon of October 8th, the Party Central Committee Office issued a press release on the fourth working day and closing of the fourth Conference of the 14th Party Central Committee. The press release stated clearly:

1. On the morning of October 8, 2026, the fourth Conference of the 14th Central Executive Committee of the Party entered its fourth working day at the Hall. Comrade Le Minh Hung, Member of the Politburo, Prime Minister, on behalf of the Politburo, chaired the discussion.

The Central Committee and delegates discussed and gave opinions on 3 contents:

(1) Report evaluating the socio-economic development situation, state budget implementation in 2026; expected socio-economic development plan, state budget estimate for 2027.

(2) Overall outline and 4 groups of outlines summarizing practice and studying amendments and supplements to the Party Charter.

(3) Detailed outline of the Report summarizing 100 years of the Party leading the Vietnamese revolution (1930 - 2030), orientations for leading the country's development for the next 100 years (2030 - 2130) and the Report summarizing 40 years of implementing the Platform for building the country in the transitional period to socialism.

The Politburo and the Secretariat will meet to consider and give opinions on the reports on receiving and explaining the opinions discussed by the Central Government on October 7, 2026.

2. In the afternoon, Comrade Tran Thanh Man, Member of the Politburo, Chairman of the National Assembly, on behalf of the Politburo, chaired the Conference. The Central Committee and delegates attended the closing session of the Conference at the Hall to listen to the Politburo's report on receiving and explaining the contents that the Central Committee had discussed and contributed opinions.

Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Member of the Politburo, Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat, on behalf of the Politburo, presented the Report on receiving and explaining the Central Government's opinions discussed on the Group of contents of inspection and supervision work; party members participating in investment and business activities; amending and supplementing the Party Charter; summarizing 100 years of the Party leading the Vietnamese revolution and 40 years of implementing the Platform for building the country.

Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee, on behalf of the Politburo, presented the Report on receiving and explaining the opinions of the Central Committee discussing the Group of contents on Party building and rectification, Party leadership methods and personnel work.

Comrade Pham Gia Tuc, Member of the Politburo, Standing Deputy Prime Minister, on behalf of the Politburo, presented the Group of contents on socio-economics and attracting and valuing talents.

The Central Committee discussed and gave opinions on the above contents and voted to approve the Resolution of the Fourth Conference of the 14th Central Committee of the Party.

Comrade General Secretary, President To Lam delivered the closing speech of the Conference.

3. The Party Central Committee called on the entire Party, people, and army to continue to promote the tradition of patriotism; unite, unify, join hands and hearts; uphold the spirit of responsibility, self-reliance, self-strengthening, innovation, strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges, and successfully complete the goals and tasks of 2026; determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.
