The Central Government approves the policy of renaming the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and central mass organizations

On the afternoon of October 5th, the Party Central Committee Office issued a press release on the first working day of the fourth Conference of the 14th Party Central Committee.

The press release stated that on the morning of October 5, 2026, the fourth Conference of the 14th Party Central Committee opened in Hanoi Capital.

1. In the morning, before the opening session, a delegation representing the Party Central Committee (Political Bureau, Secretariat, representatives of provincial and city Party committees, Party committees directly under the Central Government) offered incense to commemorate the Heroic Martyrs at the Monument to the Heroic Martyrs, Bac Son Street, Hanoi City.

Comrade Tran Thanh Man - Member of the Politburo, Chairman of the National Assembly, on behalf of the Politburo, chaired the opening part of the Conference. General Secretary and President To Lam delivered the opening speech and chaired the Conference.

The Party Central Committee met on personnel work to elect additional members of the Central Inspection Committee and gave a policy on renaming the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and central mass organizations to the Party Committee of Mass Mobilization, the Front and central mass organizations.

After that, the Central Committee and delegates worked at the Group, discussing the Resolution of the Party Central Committee on strengthening the building and rectification of the Party and the political system to be clean, strong, and comprehensive, meeting the development requirements of the country in the new era.

2. In the afternoon, the Central Committee and delegates worked at the Group, discussing the following contents: (1) Preliminary review of 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 28-NQ/TW, dated November 17, 2022 of the 13th Central Committee of the Party on continuing to innovate the Party's leadership and ruling methods towards the political system in the new period.

(2) Summarizing Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW, dated May 19, 2018 of the 12th Party Central Committee and issuing a new Resolution on continuing to build a contingent of cadres at all levels and fundamentally and comprehensively innovate cadre work to meet the requirements of national development in the new era.

Tomorrow (October 6, 2026), the Central Government will continue to work according to the program.
