Spreading love from hair donated to cancer patients
Hanoi - The program "Hair Station - Touching Dreams" in Dong Da ward donated 120 sets of hair to cancer patients, spreading the spirit of sharing on the occasion of October 20th.
On October 18th, in response to Vietnamese Women's Day October 20th, the program "Hair Station - Touching Dreams" took place at the Dong Da Ward Culture - Information and Sports Center, Hanoi, receiving 100 donated hair sets and awarding 120 complete hair sets to patients with hair loss during cancer treatment.
The program was organized by the Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Federation of Dong Da Ward in coordination with the Ward Women's Union and 1900 Hair Salon, attracting a large number of people to participate.

At the program, each given hair was entrusted with feelings and sharing. Many people, along with relatives and friends, participated in donating hair, spreading the spirit of kindness between generations. The organizers also prepared cards for donors to write messages to recipients themselves, giving wishes for health and sincere encouragement.
Ms. Nguyen Mai Anh, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Da Ward, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Dong Da Ward, said that she also directly participated in hair donation at the program.
“We were very surprised when the program received the response of a large number of people, including children, students and people from afar who came. Each person has their own story, their own reason, but they all want to contribute to bringing joy and confidence to cancer patients,” Ms. Nguyen Mai Anh shared.
With the professional support of 1900 Hair Salon, the activities of receiving donated hair and handing over hair are organized thoughtfully, aiming to bring complete hair sets to patients. As a result, the program has handed over 120 hair sets to patients.
Mr. Nguyen Van Chien, owner of 1900 Hair Salon, said that the unit has been carrying out the activity of receiving donated hair and giving hair to cancer patients for the past 6 years.

For women, hair is an important part. We hope that new hairstyles will help patients have more motivation, confidence in life and be more steadfast on the treatment journey," Mr. Nguyen Van Chien emphasized.
Among the participants in the program was Ms. Dao Thi Hue (Dong Anh commune, Hanoi), a breast cancer patient who both donated her hair and received her hair. For her, giving away her hair and receiving a new set of hair is a special experience, showing empathy among those who have gone through difficulties due to illness.
For cancer patients like us, the treatment cost is not small. Investing in a good quality, natural hairstyle like this is also very expensive. Therefore, I find the program extremely meaningful and practical," Ms. Hue said.
From simple actions, the spirit of sharing continues to spread, bringing patients more joy and confidence in life.
