Female environmental worker with cancer supported by trade union
Quang Tri - Suffering from cancer, with difficult family circumstances, a female environmental sanitation worker was visited and supported by the trade union organization.
On October 4th, information from the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation said that the grassroots Trade Union of Quang Tri Urban Environment Construction Joint Stock Company has just coordinated with business leaders to visit and support Ms. Nguyen Thi Sen - a trade union member in particularly difficult circumstances, suffering from a serious illness.
Ms. Sen is a cleaner and garbage collector in the company's environmental sanitation team. With low income, her life was already difficult. 4 years ago, her husband and one child unfortunately died in an accident. Since then, she has been single-handedly supporting her family, raising the remaining child who does not have a stable job.
The incident continued when a month ago, Ms. Sen discovered that she had cancer. Treatment and the economic burden made the life of the female worker even more difficult.
Faced with Ms. Sen's situation, the grassroots Trade Union of Quang Tri Urban Environment Construction Joint Stock Company coordinated with business leaders to organize visits and award a support amount of 5 million VND.
Trade union representatives and company leaders encouraged Ms. Sen to maintain an optimistic spirit, strive to treat the disease, and gradually overcome difficulties to stabilize her life.
Visiting and supporting activities show the concern of trade union organizations and businesses for union members and workers in difficult circumstances, and at the same time spread the spirit of mutual affection in the unit.
