More than 135 million VND to support the family of a husband with cancer, wife having one lung removed

In the afternoon of October 4, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee - Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province - and the working delegation visited, encouraged and presented financial support to the family of Mr. Hoang Van Thanh, residing in Hai Loc commune.

The total amount of money given to the family is more than 135 million VND. Of which, 10 million VND is from the Nghe An Provincial Relief Fund and more than 125 million VND is mobilized through the "Nghĩa tình dòng Lam" program.

Mr. Thanh's family is facing many difficulties when he himself has cancer, and his wife has to have surgery to remove one lung. Two of the family's 3 children have had to drop out of school due to poor health and difficult economic conditions.

After the family's circumstances were shared, nearly 800 philanthropists, individuals, organizations and communities joined hands to support through the "Nghĩa tình dòng Lam" program, with a total amount of more than 125 million VND.

The support money is directly given to the family to help cover part of the costs of treatment, living and caring for the children during difficult times.

Also in the afternoon of October 4, Hai Loc Commune Police presented Mr. Thanh's family with a set of study tables and chairs.

The Youth Union, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Loc commune and local organizations also visited, encouraged and said they would continue to accompany and support the family in the coming time.

The joint efforts of the government, organizations and the community are expected to help Mr. Thanh's family have more conditions to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and continue treatment.
