Many poor households still need support to improve their housing
Khanh Hoa - The community's joint support for the Fund for the Poor will help tens of thousands of poor households in need of support to improve housing and develop livelihoods.
On October 6th, news from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province said that it had sent a letter calling for support for the "For the Poor" Fund of the province in 2026, in order to mobilize resources to care for the poor, people in difficult circumstances and implement social security work.
According to the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, in recent years, the "For the Poor" Fund has always received the companionship and sharing of agencies, units, organizations, individuals, the business community, philanthropists and the positive response of the people.
From 2025 to now, mobilized resources have contributed to building and repairing 3,637 temporary and dilapidated houses; supporting livelihoods, medical examination and treatment for thousands of people; supporting students in difficult circumstances to go to school and giving 66,350 gifts for the 2026 Lunar New Year.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province respectfully thanks the noble gestures and joint efforts of organizations and individuals in caring for the poor and people in difficult circumstances.
However, currently the whole province still has more than 5,000 poor households, more than 13,000 near-poor households and many households in difficult circumstances that need support to improve housing, develop livelihoods, stabilize life, and gradually rise out of sustainable poverty.
In order to promote the tradition of solidarity and the spirit of mutual affection, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province calls on agencies, organizations, units, business communities, officials, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, people from all walks of life and philanthropists inside and outside the province to continue to contribute and support the "For the Poor" Fund in 2026.
The campaign is emphasized during the Peak Month for the Poor, from October 17 to November 18, 2020.
According to the call, each contribution, whether large or small, is a practical source of encouragement, contributing to ensuring social security and achieving sustainable poverty reduction goals.
