Green Car representative absent, drivers still waiting for debt money
Functional agencies invited Green Car Transport Co., Ltd. to work to resolve the reflection of debt from the collective of drivers, but the business did not come.
Business does not come to work on driver's debt
After the reflection of Lao Dong Newspaper about Green Car Transport Co., Ltd. (address No. 96 Che Lan Vien, Quy Nhon Nam ward, Gia Lai province) suddenly stopping operations, owing salaries and deposits to many drivers, on October 6th, the Department of Home Affairs of Gia Lai province invited business representatives and drivers to work to consider and resolve the case.
However, at the working session, there were only representatives of the Department of Home Affairs, Department of Construction and drivers owed money; Green Car Transport Co., Ltd. did not attend. At the time of making the record, the Department of Home Affairs had not received the reason for the business's absence.
According to a representative of the Department of Home Affairs, after receiving the reflection, the Provincial People's Committee directed functional agencies to investigate and resolve the issue of Green Car Transport Co., Ltd. owing salaries and deposits from the collective of drivers, in order to ensure the rights and interests of employees. Due to the absence of the enterprise, the Department of Home Affairs has not been able to record opinions, explanations and documents provided by the company related to the content reflected by employees.
At the working session, Mr. Nguyen Van Xuan - representative of workers - said that previously the collective of drivers had sent a petition to the Labor Mediator of Quy Nhon Nam ward. However, at the mediation session, the company representative also did not attend; the Labor Mediator of Quy Nhon Nam ward did not make a mediation record as prescribed.
Mr. Xuan assessed that the company's actions showed signs of fraud, and at the same time requested competent authorities to consider and resolve, ensuring the rights of employees.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Department of Home Affairs affirmed that they have received feedback from workers and will establish an inspection team to check the compliance with labor laws for Green Car Transport Co., Ltd. The case is currently being resolved by the Department of Home Affairs and will be informed when there are specific results.
Two times crying for help, the driver is still waiting for money
Previously, in mid-April 2026, the collective of drivers sent a petition for help to Lao Dong Newspaper and functional agencies, hoping to be supported to recover their "sweat and effort" money. By August 25, the company had only paid more than 60 million VND to employees, still owing about 167 million VND.
The remaining amount was requested by Mr. Nguyen Nhu Hoang Xuan Quang - Director of Green Car Transport Co., Ltd. - to be postponed until the end of August 2026 to be resolved definitively. However, after the committed deadline, the collective of drivers has not yet received the remaining amount.
Indignant, the collective of drivers continued to send a second petition for help to Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Labor Federation, Provincial Department of Home Affairs, Quy Nhon Nam Ward Police, Lao Dong Newspaper and the Board of Directors of Green Car Transport Co., Ltd. The collective of drivers believes that Mr. Quang shows signs of evasion, shirking responsibility and appropriating workers' money.
According to Mr. Quang's presentation, Green Car Transport Co., Ltd. has 3 capital contributing members, including Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan contributing 50%, Mr. Phan Van Anh contributing 30% and Mr. Quang contributing 20%. Mr. Quang was appointed as director and also the legal representative of the company.
From March 2026, the partner has revoked all business vehicles, causing the company to lose revenue and solvency. At that time, the company still owed salaries and deposits of 41 employees with a total of more than 227 million VND.
After the company ceased operations, Mr. Quang drove a taxi to earn income to cover living expenses, and also borrowed "hot" money to gradually pay 26 employees with a total amount of more than 60 million VND.
Mr. Quang informed that the remaining debt is about 167 million VND, but the remaining 2 capital contributing members did not pay together. According to him, even though he only contributed 20% of the capital, he paid more than 60 million VND, equivalent to nearly 1/3 of the total debt, while the remaining 2 members contributed 80% of the capital. Mr. Quang said that all 3 members must be jointly responsible for paying the debt.
