Khanh Hoa will inspect businesses with prolonged social insurance debts
Khanh Hoa - Provincial Social Insurance (BHXH) is taking steps to establish a specialized inspection team for units that are late in paying and evading social insurance for a long time.
On October 4th, information from Khanh Hoa Provincial Social Insurance said that at the end of September, the unit had a document sent to relevant units regarding the establishment of a specialized inspection team for social insurance, unemployment insurance (BHTN), and health insurance (BHYT) contributions for employers in the province.
Previously, implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, Social Insurance will preside over the establishment of a specialized inspection team. In which, inspections will be carried out at 12 units and businesses that are late in paying social insurance for a long time.
According to Khanh Hoa Provincial Social Insurance, as of August 31, the total amount of social insurance, unemployment insurance, health insurance, and occupational accident and disease insurance debt in the area is more than 445.3 billion VND.
In which, the amount of debt owed by units after excluding offset debts and debts under 1 month is more than 267.2 billion VND; late payment interest is more than 72.4 billion VND and the budget has not yet issued health insurance for more than 105.6 billion VND.
Regarding the number of units that are late in payment, by the end of August 2026 there are 739 units, after excluding 56 units that are no longer operating, there is still a shortage.
The amount of late payment is more than 16.8 billion VND, including 475 non-state enterprises with an amount of 13.75 billion VND; 1 foreign-invested enterprise owes 37 million VND and 263 units in other groups owe more than 2.75 billion VND.
The whole province has 1,124 units recorded for late payment and evasion of social insurance with an amount of more than 161.1 billion VND.
In which, there are 2 state-owned enterprises owing more than 29.3 billion VND, 816 non-state enterprises owing more than 88.8 billion VND, 4 foreign-invested enterprises owing 304 million VND and 302 units of other groups owing more than 4 billion VND.

Leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial Social Insurance said that they will coordinate with the Provincial Police to strengthen debt recovery according to the coordination regulations between the two sectors. At the same time, promote specialized inspection and handle violations according to regulations.
Along with that, the social insurance agency continues to guide employees to use the VssID application to monitor the process of participating in and enjoying social insurance and health insurance and the insurance contribution situation of enterprises.
Through this, employees can proactively detect short or slow payments and request businesses to fully fulfill insurance obligations.
