Resolution on support policies, making Gia Lai tourism an impressive destination

Synchronizing many solutions to improve the quality of community tourism

Gia Lai Provincial People's Council has just issued Resolution No. 96/2026/NQ-HĐND stipulating policies to support community tourism development in Gia Lai province in the period 2026 - 2030.

Accordingly, the province will have policies to support the development of community tourism sites under projects, plans, and community tourism development plans approved by competent authorities or recognized community tourism sites.

Support contents include: Borrowing capital to invest in new construction, renovation or expansion of houses to do business in tourist accommodation services according to the type of houses with rooms for tourists to rent (homestay); purchasing blankets, sheets, pillows, mattresses, sanitary equipment, kitchen equipment and dining equipment...

At the same time, the province will have policies to support new procurement, supplement equipment to serve waste collection such as trolleys, public trash cans...; build centralized waste collection points.

To stimulate tourism demand and increase the number of visitors to experience, Gia Lai will also support funding for community tourism propaganda and promotion; support learning and exchanging experiences in community tourism development; build destination connections and general introduction information of community tourism routes; organize activities to connect travel businesses, survey products and bring tourists to community tourism destinations.

Functional agencies have plans to invest in and upgrade traffic roads, tourism landscape infrastructure (gateways, miniatures, attractions for tourists to take photos); invest in building new reception and display houses, tourist parking lots, and public toilets at community tourism sites.

This is a timely and practical resolution to support the development of community tourism, a field with great potential for forest and sea resources in Gia Lai.

These support contents contribute to building the image of environmentally friendly tourist destinations, creating an impression on tourists, towards a professional, in-depth tourism industry and enhancing tourist experiences.

“Prey capital” to activate the vibrant tourism industry

At the 6th Session (thematic) of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council of the XIII term (term 2026 – 2031) on September 30, 2026, the Provincial People's Council also considered and approved many important resolutions. Among them is Resolution No. 95/2026/NQ-HĐND on policies to support and attract international tourists through non-scheduled international flights to Phu Cat Airport in the period 2026 – 2027.

The province supports 200 million VND/ charter flight (hired flight) to Phu Cat Airport. The province also supports a 50% reduction in fees and entrance ticket prices for international travel businesses organizing to bring international tourist groups to locations such as: Center for Scientific Discovery and Innovation, Twin Towers, Banh It Tower.

The total cost demand for implementing the policy to support attracting tourists in the period 2026 – 2027 is expected to be 94 billion 947 million VND.

The formation of policies to support international charter flights is important in expanding the market, attracting tourists, increasing spending capacity, promoting destinations and promoting regional linkages.

In the context of the trend of international visitors increasingly prioritizing safe, affordable, convenient and connected destinations, especially direct flights, this policy is expected to create momentum to promote the development of the local tourism industry.

According to Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, the implementation of this new mechanism and policy is unprecedented, based on the spirit of Resolution No. 26 of the Politburo on developing Vietnamese tourism into a key economic sector.

The goal by 2030 is for Gia Lai to strive to welcome 18.5 million visitors, including 1.1 million international visitors; tourism revenue reaches about 45.500 billion VND. The province strives to attract investment in accommodation facilities with about 33,000 rooms; average stay time reaches 3 days; direct tourism service labor through training and fostering reaches over 25,000 people.
