Gia Lai increases the proportion of workers with degrees and certificates
Gia Lai aims to attract over 3,000 rural workers to learn a trade each year, thereby increasing the proportion of workers with degrees and certificates to meet the needs of businesses, creating stable and long-term jobs for workers.

In recent years, in Duc Co commune and surrounding areas, hundreds of rural workers and ethnic minorities have been trained in vocational skills according to the State's policies and guidelines, especially implemented according to the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction.
According to a survey by the Duc Co Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center, after vocational training, labor groups were formed such as the group of Mr. Ro Mah An, Ro Lan Dung, Siu Lu... to establish production groups in the locality, install and repair electricity for some households in the commune. The group of Mr. Ro Mah Cham, Kpuih Mol, Kpuih Bem... went to work as skilled construction workers, receiving small construction projects in the area.
Mr. Le Van Nghia - Deputy Director in charge of the Duc Co Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center (under the Department of Education and Training of the province) - said: "The Center identifies the goal of vocational training for rural workers, mainly ethnic minorities, who are direct human resources for production, labor, and services. Through vocational classes, workers are equipped with the ability to practice a simple profession, with discipline and industrial style.
Ms. Ro Mah H'jeng shared: "In class, the teacher taught me how to grow clean, safe vegetables, without using harmful chemicals that affect consumer health. In the immediate future, I practice growing vegetables in my family's garden to serve daily needs; when conditions permit, I will expand the area to sell to the market, supplying clean agricultural products to restaurants and supermarkets.
According to a survey by the Duc Co Commune People's Committee, after receiving vocational training, many skilled workers have good income from work to stabilize their lives.
Providing vocational training resources, improving the qualifications of workers and laborers
Mr. Pham Van Cuong - Secretary of the Party Committee of Duc Co commune, Gia Lai - said: "Many ethnic minority workers have realized the positive side of vocational training is creating jobs, increasing income for themselves and contributing to hunger eradication and poverty reduction.
However, the most important thing after vocational training is that local Party committees and authorities need to have positive plans and support, creating conditions for workers. These can be policy capital sources, connecting product consumption markets, introducing jobs as well as attracting businesses to invest in industrial clusters and border gate economic zones in the area...
In which, focusing on linking the three houses: Farmers - businesses - authorities to improve production according to the value chain, increase the value of agricultural products, and serve exports to the world market.
According to the 2026 plan, Gia Lai strives to provide vocational training, labor supply and job creation for about 30,000 workers. Of which, vocational training for 6,020 rural workers; supplying 21,890 workers to businesses and sending 2,000 workers to work abroad under contract.
The province aims to increase the rate of trained workers to over 67.6%; the general unemployment rate below 3% and the urban unemployment rate below 4%. Vocational training must be linked to the actual needs of businesses; the plan's goal is to attract over 3,000 rural workers to learn a trade each year. Thereby, increasing the rate of workers with degrees and certificates to 25% by 2030, meeting the requirements of industrialization and modernization of agriculture.
