Lam Dong - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ham Thuan Nam commune supports the new construction and repair of 4 Great Solidarity houses for poor and near-poor households.

On October 22, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ham Thuan Nam commune organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a Great Solidarity house for Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue (73 years old), a poor household living alone in Lap Vinh village.

Ms. Hue lives alone, without relatives to rely on. The house left by her parents has deteriorated and is dilapidated, but she does not have the conditions to repair it.

Faced with that situation, she was supported with 60 million VND from the Lam Dong Provincial Fund for the Poor to build a new house. Local businesses, organizations, and individuals also joined hands to contribute funds, helping her have more conditions to build a solid residence.

Thank you to the government, the Fatherland Front and philanthropists for their support. Having a new house, I feel more secure every time it rains and storms," Ms. Hue emotionally shared.

According to Mr. Pham Van Hoa - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ham Thuan Nam commune, on this occasion, the locality also supported the repair of Great Solidarity houses for 3 near-poor households. Each household was supported with 30 million VND from funds mobilized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune to contribute to the community.

In addition, Ham Thuan Nam Charity Community Center and philanthropists supported nearly 50 million VND for families to have more funds to build and repair houses.

The activity of building new and repairing Great Solidarity houses not only helps poor and near-poor households improve living conditions but also contributes to stabilizing life.

Thereby, promoting the spirit of mutual affection, mobilizing social resources to join hands in caring for difficult circumstances in the locality.
