Spreading the model of self-management for environmental protection in Lam Dong
Lam Dong - From the pilot model in Lap Hoa village, Ham Thuan Nam commune, the self-management model of environmental protection has been replicated to all 5 villages, with 75 members participating.
In October 2026, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ham Thuan Nam commune continued to replicate the "Self-managed Residential Area for Environmental Protection" model in 4 villages Minh Tien, Minh Thanh, Lap Vinh and Nam Trung, based on the pilot model in Lap Hoa village.
To date, the model has been implemented in all 5 villages, with a total of 75 members. To support activities, the Party Committee, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune donated 5 trash cans and 5 no-dumping signs to each model.
In total, 25 trash cans and 25 no-dumping signs were handed over to residential areas, contributing to limiting indiscriminate littering.
The commune Fatherland Front coordinates with the Party cell, village operating committee and mass organizations to mobilize people to regularly clean village roads and alleys, collect garbage, clear bushes and embellish the landscape.
On the afternoon of October 18, in Nam Trung village, the Fatherland Front Committee, mass organizations, militia forces, union members, youth and people jointly launched a campaign to clean up Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street. The activity contributed to maintaining general hygiene and creating a clean and beautiful residential area landscape.
Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ham Thuan Nam commune Pham Van Hoa said: The models continue to mobilize people to collect and classify waste in accordance with actual conditions; limit the use of disposable plastic, maintain periodic hygiene and promptly reflect arising environmental issues.
According to Mr. Hoa, replicating the model is associated with promoting the spirit of voluntariness, solidarity and community responsibility.
Through this, the commune Fatherland Front has gradually made environmental protection a regular habit in every family, contributing to building a bright, green, clean, and beautiful residential area.
