The Association of Former People's Police affirms the mark of revolutionary police officers
On the morning of October 3rd, the solemn session of the 2nd National Congress, term 2026-2031 of the Vietnam People's Former Public Security Association took place.
Speaking to direct at the Congress, General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized that this is an important and very meaningful event, a congress of affection, of the spirit of renovation, of promoting heroic traditions, continuing to contribute to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, for the happiness and peace of the people.
The General Secretary and President also expressed agreement with the directions, goals and action programs set out by the Congress; clearly showing the spirit of solidarity, loyalty, exemplaryness, innovation, development and continued to promote the nature of revolutionary police officers, successfully completing the tasks assigned by the Party, State, and Fatherland Front and being the core in the movement "All people protect national security".
The General Secretary and President clearly stated that the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress for the first time identified promoting the role of former People's Public Security Forces in educating patriotism and revolutionary heroism to the younger generation, promoting the traditional nature of revolutionary police officers.
General Secretary and President emphasized the orientation of key tasks of the Association in the new term. The Association of Former People's Public Security Forces at all levels must first of all be truly a common house connecting the comradeship and solidarity of former police officers, of those who contribute to the cause of protecting security and order.
The Former People's Police Association is an organization that gathers former People's Police comrades, mostly retired police comrades, more than anyone else, the association levels must be a place to care for the health, material, and spiritual care of members, especially for members in difficult circumstances.
At the same time, it is a bridge for the police force, Party committees, grassroots authorities, and the Fatherland Front to actively coordinate and support, so that associations at all levels are truly the fulcrum for members, especially in difficult times.
The Association continues to strongly implement activities to affirm the imprint and identity of revolutionary police officers and heroic Vietnamese People's Police forces in all fields.
The Association must truly become the core force of the "All people protect national security" movement in the area, promote the achieved results, and proactively and actively participate in work in the grassroots area.
Continue to review and evaluate models and movements of the entire people to protect national security to coordinate and replicate practical and effective movements.
Members of the Former People's Police Association must clearly demonstrate their role and contribute to coordinating with the police force to manage the security and order situation right at the grassroots level.
The General Secretary and President clearly stated that Resolution No. 18, Resolution No. 22 of the 3rd Conference of the 14th Central Committee of the Party on building a disciplined, safe, civilized, harmonious, developed society and the National Security Strategy set very high goals for forming self-reliance, a culture of respecting the law and building people's trust in the Party, promoting patriotism to become a new resource for building and protecting the Fatherland.
These are very important resolutions, members of the Veterans Association of the People's Public Security Forces must actively bring the Party's policies into practical life. Generations of veterans of the People's Public Security Forces with political bravery, prestige, experience, knowledge, and practice, need to pay special attention to political and ideological education, raise vigilance for people in their places of residence, refute wrong and hostile views, and truly become the "right ideological flag" in their places of residence, spreading the good and the right, overwhelming the bad and the negative.
The Standing Committee of the Central Committee also needs to have programs and contents to educate revolutionary traditions for the young generation, coordinate with the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Ministry of Education and Training to effectively implement them in schools, communes, wards, special zones, especially in areas that are still facing difficulties...
At the Congress, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam People's Former Police Association for the 2026-2031 term was launched with 61 comrades. Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong - former Deputy Minister of Public Security re-elected Chairman of the Vietnam People's Former Police Association.
