Dong Thap Trade Union levels launch 10 clubs for pregnant women and young children
Dong Thap - Trade union levels have launched 10 "Pregnant Women and Nursing Children Clubs", attracting 816 female union members, workers, and laborers who are pregnant and raising young children.
On October 7th, the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) said that by the third quarter of 2026, the "Pregnant Women and Child Raising Club" model will be implemented in 10 units and businesses in the province, creating a forum for female workers to share experiences and receive knowledge support during pregnancy and child raising.
At the activities, female workers were discussed about pregnancy health care, nutrition, childcare, and shared ways to balance work and family, reduce pressure during pregnancy and take care of young children.

Notably, clubs are also a direct channel to propagate policies and laws related to female workers, such as maternity benefits, working hours, rest, periodic health check-ups and social insurance benefits.
Along with the implementation of the model, Dong Thap Trade Union continues to care for the children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

In the third quarter of 2026, on the occasion of the opening of the new school year, the Provincial Labor Federation awarded 251 scholarships to children of workers overcoming difficulties and studying well, with a total value of 161 million VND; coordinated to award 200 sets of English reading markers distributed by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Propaganda on gender equality and gender-based violence prevention in the 2026-2030 period is also integrated into activities to care for female union members, workers, and laborers.
According to the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation, initially the "Pregnant Women and Child Raising Club" model meets the needs and aspirations of female workers, contributing to helping women gain more knowledge and feel secure in their work.
