Khanh Hoa - Quarter III. 2026, the labor force aged 15 and over in the province is estimated to reach 1,048,800 people, of which 1,019,800 people have jobs.
On October 13, information from the Khanh Hoa Provincial Employment Service Center said that in the third quarter of 2026, labor fluctuations are mainly concentrated in the accommodation, catering and processing and manufacturing industries.
According to the labor mobility report of enterprises in the province, the number of employed workers in the third quarter of 2026 increased by more than 3,820 people compared to the second quarter. The unemployment rate is estimated at 2.53%, down 0.03 percentage points compared to the previous quarter.
In the total labor force aged 15 and over, men accounted for 52.97%, women accounted for 47.03%. Rural labor accounted for 54.35%, while urban areas accounted for 45.65%.
In the quarter, the number of workers increasing and decreasing at enterprises accounted for a nearly equivalent proportion, respectively 50.27% and 49.73% of the total number of workers fluctuating.
By industry, accommodation and catering services account for the largest proportion of the increasing labor group, with 53.73%; followed by the processing and manufacturing industry, accounting for 22.55%.
In the opposite direction, accommodation and catering services also accounted for the highest proportion in the declining labor group, with 43.79%. The processing and manufacturing industry ranked second, accounting for 30.90%.
These two sectors account for a total of 76.28% of the increased labor and 74.69% of the decreasing labor, showing that labor mobility is mainly concentrated in sectors with a large proportion in production and business activities.
Separately, accommodation and catering services have increased labor numbers more than decreased labor numbers.
Real estate business and warehousing transportation also recorded a similar trend. Meanwhile, the processing, manufacturing, mining and water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment industries have a decrease in the number of workers over the increase in the number of workers.
Statistics from businesses show that 88.21% of the number of workers who decreased in the third quarter were cases of workers agreeing to resign for personal reasons. Although the proportion decreased by 1.49 percentage points compared to the previous quarter, this is still the main reason.
Other reasons accounted for 7.39%, businesses unilaterally terminating labor contracts accounted for 3.77%, and retired workers accounted for 0.63%.
