Prime Minister Le Minh Hung concludes official visit to Laos

On October 9, the special plane carrying Politburo member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and the high-level Vietnamese delegation left Wattay airport in Vientiane capital, ending an official visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic for two days on October 8-9 at the invitation of Lao Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith, according to VNA.

During this official visit to Laos, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung had successful talks with Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith; met with General Secretary and President of Laos Thonglun Sisoulith; met with Chairman of the Lao National Assembly Sonexay Siphandone; together with Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith co-chaired the Vietnam - Laos Investment Promotion Conference; received Vice Chairman of the Lao National Front for National Construction Laopaoxong Navongxay and Chairman of the Laos - Vietnam Friendship Association Boviengkham Vongdala; visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, met and talked with officials and staff of the embassy, Vietnamese representative agencies in Laos, representatives of associations and communities of Vietnamese people living, studying and working in Laos.

At the bilateral talks between the two Prime Ministers of Vietnam and Laos, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith witnessed the Handover of 11 cooperation documents between Vietnam and Laos in the fields of security, justice, finance, energy, education and training, ethnicity, religion and cooperation between localities of the two countries; and also attended the Handover Ceremony of the Data Center and Citizen Identity Card project and the Launching Ceremony of the Lao - Vietnam Friendship University project.

Attending and giving directing speeches at the Vietnam - Laos Investment Promotion Conference, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith also witnessed the ceremony of awarding 17 investment certificates and cooperation agreements for projects between agencies and businesses of the two countries Vietnam - Laos.

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung's official visit to Laos this time will continue to contribute to fostering and developing the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic linkage between Vietnam and Laos to become increasingly in-depth, practical and effective; and at the same time promote the realization of the content of "strategic linkage" between Vietnam and Laos that has been agreed upon by senior leaders of the two Parties and two countries.
