Building a "National Brand Strategy" with a long-term vision

On the occasion of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2026), on the afternoon of October 12, in Hanoi, General Secretary and President To Lam met with typical businesses, according to VNA.

Also attending were members of the Politburo, Secretaries of the Party Central Committee: Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai; Head of the Central Propaganda Department Trinh Van Quyet. Also attending were members of the Politburo, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc.

Speaking at the meeting, stating some development orientations, General Secretary and President To Lam proposed to consolidate trust, ensure a stable, favorable, transparent, fair, and low-cost business environment; and remove practical obstacles for businesses.

The Government needs to maintain macroeconomic stability, control inflation, ensure major balances, handle problems with land, planning, investment, and construction with responsibility and clear deadlines, prioritize early projects to create production capacity. Interconnect procedures, data, reduce paperwork, time, and actual costs.

Strengthen guidance and early warning, limit the risk of law violations, handle harassing and profiteering officials, and overcome overlapping inspections and examinations. Build a "National Brand Strategy" with a long-term vision, based on the actual competitiveness of enterprises.

Emphasizing improving production capacity, mastering technology and developing human resources in enterprises, the General Secretary and President requested entrepreneurs to take technology, people, and management as the focus, promote strengths, persistently invest, and create valuable products.

Workers must enjoy worthy achievements

Promoting the role of entrepreneurs in building an independent and self-reliant economy associated with international integration, General Secretary and President To Lam suggested that businesses need to master important stages, diversify markets and supply sources, proactively respond to fluctuations, and consolidate the domestic market through distribution systems, product quality, services and brands.

Integration must improve technological capacity, knowledge and position in the global value chain. Entrepreneurs need to closely follow the market, laws, and technology, take advantage of trade agreements, protect intellectual property, maintain prestige in terms of quality and origin, and strictly implement commitments.

The General Secretary and President requested that businesses must ensure safety, income, regimes, and opportunities to improve skills, use resources responsibly, fulfill tax obligations, and be attached to the community.

Workers must enjoy worthy achievements, improved lives are the foundation for sustainable business development. Successful entrepreneurs guide the young generation, support promising ideas, and encourage creativity.

General Secretary and President emphasized that in the past nearly 2 years, the Central Party Committee has issued a system of resolutions on socio-economic development to pave the way and create a legal corridor for production and business activities, labor production, so that businesses, entrepreneurs and workers have the opportunity to develop.

The 4th Plenum of the 14th Central Committee passed the "Regulations on Party members participating in investment and business activities", according to which the Party encourages Party members to get rich legitimately associated with maintaining the nature of the Party, building the Party in the non-state sector and public service integrity.

The General Secretary and President clearly stated that a strong country is a fulcrum for businesses to reach far; strong businesses contribute to fostering national strength; affirming that the Party and State respect the contribution, protect legitimate rights and interests, and create conditions for entrepreneurs to promote their talents and get rich legitimately.

The General Secretary and President wished entrepreneurs to nurture great ambitions, persistently build businesses and brands with quality, capacity and credibility, bringing pride to Vietnam.
