Quang Tri - Discovering a account suddenly receiving more than 1.3 billion VND from a stranger, a woman reported it to the police to find the person who transferred it by mistake.

On October 5th, leaders of Quang Tri Ward Police (Quang Tri province) confirmed that the unit had just completed procedures for a woman in the area to return more than 1.3 billion VND to the person who mistakenly transferred it to the account.

Previously, around mid-September 2026, Ms. C.T (residing in Quarter 3, Quang Tri Ward) suddenly received a total of more than 1.3 billion VND into her bank account from an unknown person.

Discovering a large amount of money of unknown origin, Ms. T went to Quang Tri Ward Police to report the incident.

Upon receiving information, Quang Tri Ward Police conducted verification and coordinated with relevant banks to identify the account holder who transferred the money.

Through verification, the person who transferred it by mistake was identified as Mr. Nguyen Quoc Th (residing in Gio Linh commune, Quang Tri province).

After identifying the money transferor, Quang Tri Ward Police invited Mr. Th to work and carry out the necessary procedures to receive back more than 1.3 billion VND from Ms. T.

According to Mr. Th, the above amount was transferred by him to a business partner in Hue. However, during the transaction process, he mistakenly transferred it to Ms. T's account.

After completing the procedures, the amount of more than 1.3 billion VND was returned to Mr. Th.
