Rural workers with occupations help change ways of thinking and working
Gia Lai - Educational units need to be invested in to teach more effectively vocational training for workers, helping them change their "thinking and working style".
On September 28, Duc Co Commune People's Committee, Gia Lai province said that the goal by 2030 is for the commune to strive for the average income of ethnic minorities to be 1/2 of the commune's general average; the multidimensional poverty rate in ethnic minority and mountainous areas to decrease to below 10%.
In particular, the commune government strives to eliminate extremely difficult villages; 100% of villages and hamlets with main roads are hardened; 100% of households have access to electricity and 100% of ethnic minorities have access to hygienic domestic water.
To achieve the above goals, and at the same time increase income for people, Duc Co Commune People's Committee focuses on supporting resources for vocational training, retraining, and improving the quality of old professions annually, integrating resources from the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction.
In recent years, the main vocational learners of Duc Co Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center are ethnic minorities, so the organization of classes is mainly in villages, hamlets, and community centers. Therefore, facilities and equipment are still limited, somewhat affecting teaching and learning.

Therefore, educational institutions propose to prioritize business investment, creating more local jobs for local people. For the most part, after vocational training, workers mainly create jobs themselves or participate in work in the locality, near their home, where they live.
The training of vocational groups in the period from 2020-2025 needs to focus on specialization, technology improvement and improve the quality of training for workers who are ethnic minorities.
By 2030, rural and mountainous workers need to achieve modern and advanced human resources, with discipline and industrial style, meeting the requirements of developing countries with modern industries, and at the same time contributing to ensuring national defense and security, border security.
Duc Co commune also launched a movement to change the "thinking and working style" among ethnic minorities to gradually rise out of sustainable poverty, encouraging people to promote the spirit of self-reliance, self-strengthening and proactive economic development.
Focus on preserving and promoting traditional cultural identity, improving access to the internet and digital skills; promoting the role of village elders and prestigious people...
The commune Community Learning Center has been gradually consolidated and implemented the "Digital Community Learning Center" model, contributing to expanding learning opportunities for people in the area.
