Guidance on Propaganda to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the National Resistance Day

The guidance aims to widely propagate throughout the Party, the entire people, and the entire army about the great historical significance of the National Resistance Day; affirming that this is a bright milestone in the history of the struggle to build and defend the country of the Vietnamese nation and the strategic vision, bravery, and wise leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh in launching the all-people, comprehensive, and long-term resistance war, relying mainly on one's own strength, to defeat the invasion plot of the French colonialists, to protect national independence; educating patriotism, the spirit of great unity, aspiration for peace, self-reliance, self-strengthening, self-respect, and national pride; expressing deep gratitude to generations who sacrificed their blood and bones for national independence and national reunification; affirming the determination of the entire Party, entire people, and entire army in the cause of building and protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

Through propaganda and commemorative activities, it contributes to arousing and fostering the people's belief and pride in the Party, State and the country's renovation, creating unity within the Party, social consensus to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws; encouraging and motivating cadres, party members and people to overcome all difficulties and challenges, seize opportunities, and be determined to successfully complete the socio-economic development goals and tasks in 2026 and the period 2026 - 2030, bringing the country into a new era - an era of prosperous and strong development of the Vietnamese nation.

Propaganda and commemorative activities are organized in many lively forms, ensuring solemnity, practicality, effectiveness, with focus and key points, in accordance with the actual situation, in accordance with regulations and towards the People, so that the People can participate and enjoy; closely linked with propaganda of resolutions and directives of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo with patriotic emulation movements, political events of the country, ministries, branches, and localities, creating an atmosphere of excitement and trust in the Party and society.

According to the Guidance, the Central-level Anniversary is hosted by Hanoi City, in coordination with the Ministry of National Defense and relevant agencies, on December 19, 2026 in Hanoi. Localities across the country do not organize the Anniversary; based on specific conditions, select activities suitable to the actual situation such as: organizing seminars, scientific conferences, exhibitions; cultural, artistic, sports, and historical tradition education activities; organizing meetings, visits, and gratitude to wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution, typical policy families in the area; taking care of people's lives; promoting propaganda activities according to the Guidance of the Central Propaganda Department...
