HCMC traffic police brave the rain, pushing vehicles to help people cross flooded roads
Ho Chi Minh City - Heavy rain at rush hour on the afternoon of October 7th caused travel difficulties, traffic police forces were on duty to divert traffic and support pushing vehicles for people.
In the late afternoon of October 7, heavy rain appeared in many areas of Ho Chi Minh City, affecting people's travel, especially during peak hours from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Heavy rain limited the visibility of vehicle drivers. At the same time, the number of vehicles on the road increased, causing traffic difficulties in many areas.
Faced with the above situation, the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police (PC08) deployed forces at key roads and intersections to organize traffic diversion and regulation.
Many units such as the Escort Patrol Team, Da Phuoc Traffic Police Station, Rach Chiec Traffic Police Team... arrange officers and soldiers to stick to the route, directly guiding vehicles to circulate in heavy rain conditions.
In some areas, traffic police officers and soldiers have to perform duties in the rain, continuously regulating vehicle flow to limit congestion during peak hours.
In addition to traffic diversion, the traffic police force also supports people facing difficulties on the road. Some vehicles encountering problems in the rain are supported by officers and soldiers to push vehicles and remove them from areas with large vehicles to ensure safety and limit traffic impact.
The units also coordinate with functional forces in the area to deploy regulation plans in areas with high vehicle volume.
After the rain stopped and the number of vehicles gradually decreased, the traffic situation in the areas was basically stable, and vehicles moved more conveniently.
