Focus on building a worker culture, consolidating a strong trade union organization

On November 5th, in Dak Lak, the training class to improve propaganda and mobilization capacity for trade union officials organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor entered its second day.

The training class has the participation of leaders and officials working in propaganda and education of provincial and city labor federations, central industry trade unions and units directly under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

At the topic of building trade union culture and worker culture, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - emphasized the close relationship, impact and mutual support between trade union culture and worker culture.

According to Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, trade union culture creates environment, standards and motivation, while worker culture is expressed through the awareness, behavior, demeanor and aspiration to contribute of workers.

Building culture does not necessarily start from large programs or large funding sources, but it is necessary to choose practical actions that are suitable for the conditions of each establishment, maintained regularly, with responsible people and specific evaluation criteria.

Trade unions need to promote the role of creating an environment, connecting resources and spreading values. Each official, union member, and worker should proactively train, learn, and behave responsibly, contributing to building a strong trade union organization.

In the topic on the organization of employees at enterprises, the training class focused on solutions to prevent the abuse of legal regulations to oppose trade union organizations.

The proposed solutions include legal standardization, two-way guidance; substantive and timely resolution of the needs of union members and workers; early warning using labor relations data; establishing advisory groups, negotiation, and rapid response mediation.

In addition, it is necessary to measure the quality of trade union activities by the results and satisfaction level of employees; implement the "3T" digital communication strategy (Real - Win - Interact); strengthen inter-sectoral coordination, two-way inspection and strict handling according to behavior.

Through training, the team of trade union officials has improved their propaganda and mobilization capacity, contributing to meeting the requirements of building the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization in the new situation.
