At the end of 2025, hundreds of households in Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak and Gia Lai were happy to receive new houses thanks to the "Quang Trung Campaign" of the military. In the historic flood in November 2025, water from upstream quickly washed away many properties and houses of people in Nam Khanh Vinh commune (Khanh Hoa). According to statistics, from December 1, 2025 to January 10, 2026, more than 204,000 officers and soldiers of Military Region 5, Dak Lak Provincial Military Command and militia and self-defense forces with nearly 6,000 vehicles have been mobilized and organized into 331 teams. The forces have built 331 houses for households that were completely collapsed, and repaired 90 severely damaged houses in 13 communes and wards.
More than 11,300 households with about 36,000 people were evacuated to safe places; 207 schools, 42 health stations, 281 cultural houses, 38 People's Committee headquarters were cleaned; more than 50km of traffic was repaired; 3,500 households were supported with sanitation and stabilized their lives.
Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Dao My emphasized the special and great contributions of the armed forces in the process of responding to and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

Gia Lai completes Quang Trung campaign
Implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign", Gia Lai province has completed the repair of 27,522 severely damaged houses. Of the total 674 houses that collapsed and needed to be rebuilt, 651 have been completed; 23 houses were built by the people themselves, large in scale, with multi-storey structures, so they were completed outside the campaign schedule.
On January 14, Mr. Cao Thanh Thuong - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Gia Lai province - said that up to this point, the implementation of the "Quang Trung Campaign" in the province has basically been completed. For the remaining 23 houses, the province will continue to support people to complete before January 2026.
"Although these 23 houses are part of the campaign, because people need to build themselves with a scale of 2-3 floors, an area of 100-200m2, high requirements for quality and aesthetics, it cannot be completed according to the general schedule. Previously, on January 12, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung and the Central Working Group inspected and worked with the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee on the progress and results of the implementation of the "Quang Trung Campaign" - the rapid construction and repair of houses for people affected by storms and floods, and early rebuilding the shelters before the Lunar New Year 2026.
