Hai Phong West Trade Union maintains connection and stable labor in Q1.2026
Hai Phong - The giao ban conference of the Clubs of Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of grassroots trade unions in western Hai Phong assessed the activities of the first quarter and set out tasks for the coming time.
On April 2nd, the City Labor Federation organized a meeting of the Clubs of Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of grassroots trade unions in the western Hai Phong area to grasp the situation of businesses, labor relations and trade union activities in the first quarter of 2026.
The conference assessed the results of the first months of the year, and at the same time exchanged and agreed on key tasks and solutions for the second quarter and the following months.
According to the report at the conference, in the first quarter of 2026, although newly established and coinciding with the time when businesses focused on production and Tet care, the clubs proactively maintained online connections, ensuring smooth information. Many practical contents were exchanged promptly such as Tet bonuses, the 13th month salary, stable labor after Tet, forecasting orders, recruitment... Thereby forming a two-way information mechanism, supporting grassroots trade unions to handle arising situations.
Activities to share experiences and improve dialogue and negotiation capacity were promoted. Thanks to that, the average salary in the first quarter increased from 5.2 million VND to nearly 5.8 million VND/person/month (up 11.5%); the average Tet bonus reached about 1.3 months' salary.
Activities to care for life and movements are also being implemented such as the "Healthy and Beautiful Footsteps" race attracting more than 8,400 participants; the "Trade Union Year-end Meal" model with a meal value of about 123,500 VND/person.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation - acknowledged the efforts of the clubs in maintaining connections, caring for workers, supporting dialogue and negotiation, contributing to stabilizing labor relations.
However, he also pointed out some limitations such as uneven quality of operations, the work of developing union members still has gaps, and in some places labor safety and hygiene is still formalistic.
In the coming time, the City Labor Federation requests units to continue to promote propaganda, develop union members, improve the quality of collective labor agreements; effectively organize Workers' Month; strengthen care for workers, especially workers in difficult circumstances; well implement occupational safety and health work; proactively grasp the situation, promptly reflect and handle arising problems.
At the end of the conference, the Clubs signed an emulation agreement for 2026, as a basis for monitoring and evaluating the results of task implementation and considering year-end rewards, contributing to improving the effectiveness of Trade Union activities at the grassroots level.
