Mr. Nguyen Van Quang re-elected Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court

On April 7, continuing the First Session, the 16th National Assembly held a separate meeting on personnel work.

At the meeting, the President presented a list of nominations for the National Assembly to elect the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court (SPC).

Mr. Nguyen Van Quang - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court for the 2021-2026 term is nominated for the National Assembly to elect him to hold the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court for the 2026-2031 term. The National Assembly elects the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court by secret ballot.

With 496/496 National Assembly deputies (NA deputies) participating in the vote in favor (100%), the 16th National Assembly passed the Resolution to elect the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court for the term 2026-2031 with Mr. Nguyen Van Quang.

Chief Justice Nguyen Van Quang was born on August 23, 1969; native of Cat Hai Special Zone, Hai Phong City. Political theory level: Advanced. Professional qualifications: Doctor of Law; Master of Law; University majoring in Law; College of Procuracy.
