Ministry of Home Affairs announces list of work with strict requirements on labor safety

This Circular applies to the subjects specified in Article 2 of the Law on Occupational Safety and Health (except for subjects who are Vietnamese workers working abroad under contract) including:

Employees working under labor contracts; probationary workers; vocational learners, trainees to work for employers.

Cadres, civil servants, public employees, people belonging to the people's armed forces.

Employees working without labor contracts.

Employer.

Agencies, organizations and other individuals related to occupational safety and health.

The Ministry of Home Affairs assigns the Provincial People's Committee to be responsible for directing propaganda, dissemination and organization of the implementation of this Circular in the area.

The Department of Employment is responsible for organizing information, propaganda, guidance, monitoring, summarizing, evaluating, and reporting on the implementation of this Circular.

Employers are responsible for identifying jobs with strict requirements for occupational safety and health at agencies, organizations, and units to carry out occupational safety and health training for employees in accordance with the law.

The list of jobs with strict requirements for occupational safety and health includes some jobs such as:

- Manufacturing, assembling, operating, maintaining, repairing, dismantling, inspecting, technically inspecting labor safety, supervising the operation of machinery and equipment belonging to the List of machinery, equipment, supplies, and substances with strict requirements on labor safety and hygiene that must be technically inspected for labor safety;

- Directly produce, use, test, experiment, preserve, transport, and treat hazardous and toxic chemicals according to the classification of the global harmonization system on chemical classification and labeling.
