Social insurance answers about procedures for transferring to a specialized level to enjoy 100% health insurance
The Social Insurance Agency has just responded and provided information about transferring medical examination and treatment from the initial health insurance medical examination and treatment registration to a specialized level.
Reader Nguyen Thi Ngan (reader's name has been changed - PV) asked: "My son has a low urinary displacement. The initial registration for medical examination and treatment was General Clinic 103 Ba Trieu (Hanoi), now I want to transfer to Viet Duc Friendship Hospital facility 1 for surgery, what procedures do I need?
Regarding this issue, the Health Insurance Regime Department - Social Insurance of Hanoi City answers as follows:
Based on the provisions of the Law on Health Insurance (HI) and current guiding documents on HI medical examination and treatment (MET) and HI referral:
Regarding technical expertise level and referral regulations: Ba Trieu 103 General Clinic is the initial HI medical examination and treatment facility (initial level/facility). Viet Duc Friendship Hospital (facility 1) is a specialized level medical examination and treatment facility (central level).
To ensure that the child receives 100% of the health insurance medical examination and treatment costs within the scope of benefits and the benefit level stated on the card during surgery at Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, the family needs to carry out referral procedures according to regulations, and must have a patient transfer slip from a basic medical examination and treatment facility.
