After nearly 10 years of losing contact, the man in Gia Lai was found in Quang Tri
Quang Tri - Kim Ngan Commune Police discovered a man who had lost contact for nearly 10 years, helping his family reunite.
On October 7th, information from the Quang Tri Provincial Police Electronic Information Portal said that Kim Ngan Commune Police had just supported a family to find a relative who had lost contact for nearly 10 years.
Previously, during patrols and control of the area, Kim Ngan Commune Police discovered a man whose name, characteristics and residential address matched Mr. Than Trung Nhan (born 1977, residing in Phu Phong village, Tay Son commune, Gia Lai province). Mr. Nhan had lost contact with his family since 2016.
After discovering it, Kim Ngan Commune Police verified the identity, and at the same time coordinated with Tay Son Commune Police, Gia Lai province to exchange information to clarify the identity of the man.
Initial verification results show that this person has many characteristics consistent with the information provided by the family about Mr. Nhan.
Kim Ngan Commune Police then notified relatives and guided the family to the locality to carry out procedures for verification and reception. Because the family was far away and traveling was difficult, Kim Ngan Commune People's Committee and Commune Police supported funding for relatives to come to Quang Tri.
On October 6th, Mr. Than Trong Tinh (born 1969) and Mr. Than Trong Nghia (born 1989), both residing in Phu Phong village, Tay Son commune, Gia Lai province, came to Kim Ngan Commune Police to work.
Through information comparison, personal verification and direct identification, the family confirmed that the man discovered by Kim Ngan Commune Police was indeed Mr. Than Trung Nhan.
According to Mr. Than Trong Tinh, in 2016, Mr. Nhan went to work as a worker at a cement enterprise in Quang Nam province. On December 20, 2016, his family lost contact with him.
For nearly 10 years, relatives have searched many times, posted information in the mass media and directly searched but without results.
At the time of handover to his family, Mr. Nhan's health was stable, alert, and lucid, with no unusual signs.
Kim Ngan Commune Police made a record, completed the procedures and handed over Mr. Nhan to his relatives to take to Gia Lai for care.
