Nearly 24,000 people participate in a living environment survey in Lao Cai
Lao Cai - Preliminary survey results of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee show that most participants positively assess the living environment in their place of residence.
On November 2nd, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province informed that this agency has just organized a survey of people's satisfaction with the quality of the living environment in 2026, in order to grasp the opinions and aspirations of the people.
The survey content lasting a week focused on water quality, air, noise, waste collection and treatment, green trees, environmental landscape as well as the concern of local authorities for environmental protection.
According to preliminary summary results, nearly 24,000 people participated in the survey. Among them, 75% of participants said they were satisfied or very satisfied with the living environment at their place of residence; 74.1% assessed environmental quality as good and very good.
Initial results show that the living environment in many areas has received positive assessments from people.
Among the surveyed contents, the quality of domestic water sources, the level of noise and vibration assurance, and the concern of local authorities for environmental protection are issues with relatively high satisfaction rates.
However, besides the positive assessments, the survey also pointed out issues that need to continue to be concerned about. In which, the collection and treatment of waste and domestic wastewater still makes a part of the population concerned.

When asked about areas that need to be prioritized for improvement, people are particularly concerned about water quality in ponds, lakes, rivers, and streams; collection and treatment of domestic waste and ensuring clean water for life.
These are all issues that directly affect people's health, living and quality of life. Therefore, the survey results not only reflect the level of satisfaction but also contribute to identifying inadequacies that need to be considered and resolved by functional agencies.
Notably, the survey also recorded the proactive participation of people in environmental protection.
Many people said that they have carried out domestic waste sorting, used environmentally friendly products, and are willing to reflect pollution behaviors and contribute opinions to improve the landscape and environmental quality in the locality.
Through surveys, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province has more information channels from practice to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the people, serving supervision activities, social criticism and recommendations to functional agencies on environmental issues of concern.
