Lao National Assembly Chairman receives Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front

At the reception, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai respectfully congratulated Comrade Sonexay Siphandone on being elected as Chairman of the 10th Lao National Assembly; affirming that Comrade Sonexay Siphandone's first official visit to Vietnam in his capacity as Chairman of the Lao National Assembly is of great significance, contributing to consolidating political trust, strengthening cooperative relations between the two legislative bodies, and promoting the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic linkage between Vietnam and Laos to become increasingly deep, practical and effective.

Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai congratulated the important achievements that the Party, State and People of Laos have achieved in the cause of building, protecting and developing the country; believing that under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the brotherly Lao People will continue to achieve many new achievements, successfully implement socio-economic development goals.

Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai wished key leaders of the two Parties and two countries, including the Chairman of the Lao National Assembly, to continue to pay attention to directing and creating conditions for the two Front organizations to continue to strengthen cooperation and exchange experiences in gathering and uniting people from all walks of life to participate in building and developing the country; promote propaganda and education for all walks of life, especially the young generation, about the tradition of solidarity and loyalty between the two nations. Thereby, contributing to consolidating a solid social foundation, strengthening understanding, trust and attachment between the people of the two countries, and jointly preserving and promoting the invaluable common assets of the two Parties and two nations.

Lao National Assembly Chairman Sonexay Siphandone expressed his pleasure at the development achievements of Vietnam, and congratulated the important results that Vietnam has achieved in the renovation and development of the country and enhancing its international position. He affirmed that the Party, State and People of Laos always cherish and remember the valuable, sincere and meaningful support and assistance that Vietnam has given to Laos throughout the process of national liberation struggle in the past as well as in the cause of building, protecting and developing the country today.

Lao National Assembly Chairman Sonexay Siphandone emphasized that Laos-Vietnam relations are a special solidarity relationship, carefully nurtured by generations of leaders and people of the two countries, becoming a priceless asset of the two nations. The comrade wished the two sides to continue to strengthen delegation exchanges, share experiences in Party building, state management and socio-economic development; and expand cooperation between agencies, organizations and localities, contributing to making the comprehensive cooperation relationship between the two countries increasingly effective, meeting the aspirations and practical interests of the people of the two countries.

Referring to the cooperative relationship between the Lao Front for National Construction and the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Lao National Assembly Chairman Sonexay Siphandone highly appreciated and praised the results of cooperation between the two Fronts of the two countries in the past time; requested the two sides to continue to effectively implement the signed cooperation agreements, expand the content and forms of coordination, strengthen exchange and share experiences in mass mobilization and gathering and building the great national unity bloc. In particular, the two Front agencies need to closely coordinate to organize many practical and meaningful activities in the Year of Laos - Vietnam Friendship and Solidarity 2027.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front wished the Lao National Assembly Chairman to continue to pay attention to directing and creating conditions for the Vietnamese community and businesses in Laos to have stable lives and jobs, contributing to building a strong and prosperous Laos, and nurturing the special Vietnam-Laos relationship to be forever green and eternally sustainable.
