Nha Trang residents petition to handle sidewalk encroachment
Khanh Hoa - At the "Listening to the People's Voices" forum in 2026, people in Nha Trang ward reflected many people's livelihood issues that need to be rectified.
On November 3, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nha Trang ward coordinated to organize the forum "Listening to the people's voices" in 2026.
The forum was attended by leaders of Party committees, authorities, units and representatives of officials and people of 36 residential groups in the area.
At the forum, the Ward People's Committee informed about the results of resolving the opinions and recommendations of the People in the past time.
In the spirit of frankness and constructiveness, people continue to reflect many issues arising at the grassroots level, directly related to daily life and activities.
One of the most discussed topics is the situation of encroaching on roads and sidewalks for business, parking improperly, causing traffic jams on main roads, Ma Vong area and in front of school gates.
People requested the locality to strengthen inspection and handling to ensure urban order and traffic safety; pay more attention to environmental sanitation, urban aesthetics and provide contact phone numbers to receive and handle the situation of stray dogs.
In addition, people proposed to review and utilize redundant headquarters after arrangement to serve educational needs and build public works.
Some opinions also mentioned the need to equip more modern vehicles and equipment to serve rescue and relief at sea in Nha Trang; inspect the risk of landslides in the Cau Da residential group area before the rainy and storm season.
After listening, ward leaders and representatives of relevant units directly exchanged and answered the contents under their authority.
Speaking at the forum, Mr. Tran Xuan Tay - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Nha Trang Ward People's Council acknowledged and highly appreciated the heartfelt and responsible contributions of officials and people.
For issues that require coordination from functional agencies, localities will summarize and transfer them to competent units for consideration and resolution.
He requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward to continue to maintain and improve the quality of the "Listening to the people speak" forum, creating conditions for people to regularly contribute opinions and propose solutions to build the locality.
At the same time, strengthen supervision, promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the people; closely coordinate with the Ward People's Committee and related units in receiving, summarizing, monitoring, and urging the settlement of legitimate petitions.
