VGCL President receives delegation of the Hungarian Workers' Party

The delegation of the Hungarian Workers' Party is headed by Mr. Gyula Thurmer - Chairman of the Hungarian Workers' Party.

Also receiving were Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Vu Anh Duc - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Mr. Gyula Thurmer emphasized that one of the purposes of this visit and working trip to Vietnam is to learn more about the new economic development model as well as the reality of protecting the rights of workers in Vietnam.

VGCL President Nguyen Anh Tuan exchanged issues such as how to gather and attract workers to join the Trade Union organization; advantages and challenges for the current Trade Union organization.

Chairman Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized that the Trade Union organization is under the comprehensive leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and is currently the only organization representing the rights of workers. The Trade Union organization is digitizing activities to manage and implement union member welfare programs; building harmonious and progressive labor relations, especially signing collective labor agreements to best protect the rights of workers...

On this occasion, VGCL President Nguyen Anh Tuan proposed wishing to exchange information on issues of mutual concern, especially the issue of bringing workers into the Trade Union organization; organize delegation exchanges at all levels.
