More than 300 amateur actors participate in the 14th Vietnam Railway Workers' Singing Festival, after 11 years of interruption.
After 11 years of interruption, on October 8, 2026, the 14th Vietnam Railway Workers' Singing Festival officially returns, gathering more than 300 amateur actors. The event aims to celebrate the 145th anniversary of Vietnam Railways and the 80th anniversary of the Industry Traditional Day.
Besides the task of production and business and ensuring train safety, cultural and artistic activities have long become a beautiful feature in the spiritual life of officials and employees of the Railway industry.
From stations, trains to factories, workshops, the singing of workers contributes to creating a cohesive atmosphere, encouraging officials and employees after working hours.
According to Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Deputy General Director of Vietnam National Railways Group, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Singing Festival, after 11 years of interruption, the 14th Vietnam Railway Workers Singing Festival was reorganized, aiming to restore and develop the mass cultural and artistic movement in the entire industry.
According to the Organizing Committee, the festival is an opportunity for units, art teams and actors to meet, exchange, and share experiences. This is also an activity contributing to caring for spiritual life, strengthening the connection between workers and units and the Railway industry.
This year's festival has the participation of more than 300 amateur actors. They are workers, engineers, and employees working in many positions in the railway system.
After working hours, these workers become actors on stage, bringing performances that show love for the profession, colleagues, pride in the industry's tradition and aspiration to contribute.
The event takes place during the year Vietnam Railways celebrates 145 years of formation and development (1881-2026) and 80 years of Vietnam Railways Traditional Day (October 21, 1946 - October 21, 2026).
In the series of commemorative activities, the "Vietnam and World Railway Traditional Area" was also recently inaugurated at Gia Lam Railway Factory (Hanoi). This space preserves and introduces many documents, images and artifacts associated with the development of Vietnam's railway industry through periods.
2026 also marks a shift in operating model when Vietnam Railways Corporation officially switched to the Vietnam National Railways Group model from August 11, 2026.
With the motto "Promoting tradition - Self-reliance efforts - Effective cooperation - Compact breakthrough - Creating the future", the Group focuses on safely exploiting existing railway infrastructure, while preparing resources and technology to receive and operate modern railway lines in the future.
On October 2nd, the Party Committee of Vietnam National Railways Group launched a peak emulation drive "90 days and nights sprint", aiming to complete at the highest level the goals and tasks for 2026.
In that context, the 14th Vietnam Railway Workers' Singing Festival is not only a cultural and artistic activity but also contributes to creating a spirit of emulation, strengthening solidarity and encouraging officials and employees to complete production and business tasks in the new period.
