Tra Vinh General Hospital Trade Union spreads love through sweet soup cooking contest
Vinh Long - Tra Vinh General Hospital grassroots trade union organizes a sweet soup cooking contest, creating a playground to connect union members and workers at the hospital.
On October 20th, the Grassroots Trade Union (CĐCS) of Tra Vinh General Hospital organized a bean sweet soup cooking contest with the theme "Sweet Taste of Love", to celebrate Vietnamese Women's Day October 20th.
The contest attracted 33 teams representing departmental trade unions to participate. Each team consists of 2 members, together preparing a pot of sweet soup for families of 5 for a maximum of 90 minutes. Notably, the Organizing Committee added 5 points on a 100-point scale for each team with male union members participating, encouraging companionship and sharing in trade union activities.
The teams brought to the contest many sweet soup dishes made from traditional beans such as red beans, black beans, green beans. The Judging Panel scored according to criteria including quality and flavor 40 points, form and presentation 30 points, meaning explanation 15 points, food safety and hygiene 15 points.
On this occasion, the grassroots trade union presented souvenirs to 711 female civil servants and employees working at the hospital, showing concern and encouragement for the female labor force.
The contest not only honors ingenuity and creativity but also creates opportunities for union members and workers to exchange, share, and strengthen solidarity in the unit. Thereby, contributing to building a spiritual and cultural life and promoting activities to care for union members of the trade union organization.
