Hanoi workers' lives become more colorful from cultural spaces
Hanoi - Besides work, spiritual life is also part of the needs of workers, from relaxation and fun moments to time for family.
Towards the 72nd anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2026), 1,016th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi and 150th anniversary of the name Dong Anh, Thien Loc commune (Hanoi) organizes the Autumn Festival from October 2 to 7.
The festival has many cultural and sports activities such as Zumba exchanges, folk dances, mass art, running races; along with entertainment areas, cuisine, booths introducing OCOP products and local specialties. Night walking space is also organized with street music, entertainment areas, traditional kite displays and culinary experience activities.

For workers working in industrial parks in the area, these activities provide more choices for the time after work. Instead of returning to their rented rooms or just being busy with family work, workers can take advantage of walking, meeting friends or bringing relatives to participate in local activities.
Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Van Thinh (Phuc Thinh commune, Hanoi) have been participating in activities at the festival for two consecutive days. According to him, what makes the family spend time returning is the vibrant atmosphere and many activities suitable for the people.
I found the program to be large-scale, with many interesting activities, so my husband and I returned for 2 consecutive days. In the commune, there are mainly workers, but there are not many entertainment and spiritual cultural spaces like this. Now that there are more, it's very good," Mr. Thinh shared.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Anh, Mr. Thinh's wife, said that recently, local authorities and grassroots trade unions have paid more attention to the spiritual life of workers, organizing many useful activities to help workers feel secure in their work.
Hopefully in the future there will be more activities like this so that people have more places to play, and families can also participate together, becoming more connected," Ms. Hai Anh shared.

In fact, for many workers, finding a suitable place to rest and have fun with family after work is not always easy. Extensive working hours, along with taking care of children and family tasks, reduce the time allocated to personal activities.
Ms. Ha Thi Nhung (Thien Loc commune, Hanoi) said that busy work makes her not often have time to take her children out to play or take breaks after school.
Hopefully, there will be more cultural clubs, sports playgrounds, children's playgrounds or festivals right at the residence like this so that workers and families can relax, improve mental health and regenerate labor," Ms. Nhung expressed.
Having more such spaces, especially in areas with a large concentration of workers, not only helps workers have more entertainment options but also contributes to creating a more convenient living environment for them and their families.
