Workers use fabric scraps and plastic bottles to design costumes

On the evening of October 19, the Trade Union of Ha Phong Export Garment Joint Stock Company (Bac Ninh) organized the 2026 Recycling Fashion Contest with the theme "Recycling today - Ha Phong green tomorrow", to celebrate Vietnamese Women's Day October 20.

Attending the program were Ms. Lam Thi Huong Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh City Labor Federation...

The contest attracted the participation of 13 teams from workshops in the company. With ingenuity, creativity and solidarity, the teams took advantage of used materials such as fabric scraps, paper, cardboard, packaging, plastic bottles... to design unique costumes, bringing lively and impressive performances.

Thereby, showing the creativity, spirit of responsibility to the environment and beauty of Ha Phong workers, especially diligent, dynamic, and enthusiastic female workers in production labor.

Not only is it a cultural and artistic playground, the contest also creates opportunities for union members and workers to exchange, show their talents, strengthen solidarity and attachment to businesses; and at the same time spread the message of saving raw materials, sorting waste, reusing valuable materials and limiting plastic waste, contributing to building a green, clean, and beautiful working environment.

The contest is also a meaningful activity to celebrate Vietnamese Women's Day October 20th, and at the same time affirm the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for spiritual life, protecting union members' rights and promoting emulation movements at enterprises.

On this occasion, city leaders and the City Labor Federation presented 65 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances and suffering from dangerous diseases from the support of the Bac Ninh City Labor Federation.

This is a practical activity showing the concern and sharing of the Trade Union organization, contributing to encouraging union members and workers to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and feel secure in labor production.
